When your move-out date does not line up with your move-in date, storage fills the gap. As part of a full residential move, Central Van Lines picks up your belongings, wraps and pads every item, and places them in vault containers at our warehouse, then delivers when your new home is ready. You do not need to rent a separate storage unit, load a truck twice, or handle your belongings more than necessary. Everything goes into storage from the moving truck and comes out of storage onto the delivery truck.

Businesses need storage for office furniture between leases, excess inventory during seasonal peaks, equipment waiting for a new facility, and project materials staged for a rollout. Central Van Lines stores commercial goods at our warehouse facilities with inventory tracking and scheduled retrieval, and for companies that need ongoing warehousing, distribution, and fulfillment, our logistics and 3PL services build on that same space. We receive, log, store, and ship on your timeline.

Items sensitive to temperature and humidity, including wood furniture, electronics, artwork, wine, and documents, benefit from climate-controlled storage, and for the most fragile and high-value pieces our specialty moving crews add custom crating before anything goes into the warehouse. Our climate-controlled space maintains a stable temperature and humidity range year-round, and temperature logs are available on request.

For long-distance moves where the delivery date is not yet set, storage-in-transit keeps your shipment at our warehouse until you are ready. Your belongings stay on the inventory from pickup and are delivered when you give the word. This is standard for employee relocations and any move where the destination is not yet available.
