Central Van Lines ships cars, trucks, and SUVs on enclosed or open carriers. Enclosed transport protects the vehicle from road debris and weather, while open transport is more economical for standard vehicles. Items that are oversized, irregularly shaped, or extremely fragile need more than a moving pad. Central Van Lines builds custom wooden crates on site, sized to the exact dimensions of the item, with the interior lined with foam and padding to absorb vibration during transport. This is common for artwork, marble tabletops, glass fixtures, antique mirrors, and electronics that do not fit standard boxes.

Artwork requires climate-controlled transport, white-glove handling, and chain-of-custody tracking. Central Van Lines moves paintings, sculptures, photographs, and mixed-media pieces for private collectors, galleries, and institutions. Every piece is wrapped in acid-free paper, padded, and either crated or placed in an art shuttle, and for gallery-level installation and placement our white glove delivery service carries each piece to its final spot. We photograph each item before packing and maintain a condition report.

Antique furniture, china, glassware, and collectibles cannot be replaced if damaged. Central Van Lines wraps antiques individually, builds support structures inside boxes to prevent shifting, and loads them in a section of the truck where they will not be compressed by heavier items. We inspect each piece before and after the move.

Motorcycles need secure mounting, soft straps, and a loading process that does not scratch paint or bend chrome. Central Van Lines loads motorcycles onto wheel chocks inside enclosed trailers, strapped at multiple points to prevent movement during transit.

Boats and personal watercraft require trailers, permits, and route planning that accounts for height and width restrictions. Central Van Lines transports boats and PWCs on appropriate trailers and handles the routing logistics, including bridge clearances and oversize load permits when required.

Wine is sensitive to temperature, vibration, and light. Central Van Lines moves wine collections in climate-controlled vehicles, packed in custom inserts that hold each bottle securely. We maintain temperature logs during transit and deliver to the destination or directly to a wine storage facility.

Items that fall outside every other category, including industrial art, gym equipment, safes, hot tubs, and playground equipment, fall under specialized transportation.
